Calcium and Vitamin D

This studied reported on calcium and vitamin D intake in women over 7 years. Just the other day, I was thinking that you see calcium added to just about everything these days. I was buying orange juice with calcium added. I haven’t seen whether or not it’s added to catsup or mayonnaise yet.

You can read about the study in the link provide above. The take home message is that we probably get enough calcium, but the vitamin D supplementation could use some work.

Of course, if we’re talking about bone density, I should remind you that getting enough exercise is highly important, as well, as this is a proven way to maintain and strengthen bones.
