Education World Administrators Center: From Chaos to Coherence: Managing Teacher Stress
Since my wife is a teacher, I know the very real effect that teaching can have on stress levels. Fortunately for everyone, Molly seems to have been built specifically to teach, and she handles it with grace and poise. Of course, there are times in every teacher’s day, week, and year where the burden becomes overwhelming.
When that happens, of course, it’s not just the teacher that suffers, but also the kids. Our society doesn’t put too much emphasis on treating teachers as professionals deserving the highest respect. (Most schools aren’t even air conditioned, holiday parties are paid directly out of the teacher’s pockets, and let’s not even get into classroom supplies.)
So when a program like the Resilient Educator comes along, we should be paying attention. With HeartMath techniques, which can include using the Freeze Framer, teachers can quickly overcome their reaction to the stresses in and out of the classroom.
I just hope that the teachers don’t have to pay for it themselves!
